Scouting is an outdoor adventure program teaching youth to make ethical and moral decisions through leadership and character development using outdoor experiences and the Scout Oath and Scout Laws. Requirements for Participation:
BSA Medical Form – The BSA Medical Form is located on the website on the Parent Resources tab. The full medical evaluation from a doctor IS NOT required. The form may be found on the Parent Resource page.
BSA Permission Slip – All Scouts must have a SIGNED BSA Permission Slip from parent or guardian to attend – no exceptions. The form may be found on the Parent Resource page.
Knife: Any Scout with a Whittling Chip card may bring their pocket knife. No other knife is permitted.
Webelos: Webelos will be trained on Whittling Chip and may bring their knife for the outing.
Parents and Guardians: Parents or Guardians may attend. If you are unable to attend your Scout may participate with your permission. This outing is subject to the BSA Youth Protection program and requires a minimum of 2 Certified Adults on the outing. If 2 YPT adults are not present, the outing will be cancelled.
